Jude Law & National Youth Music Theatre
LONDON – Jude Law has become a patron of the National Youth Music Theatre – where it all began for the accomplished actor.
NYMT gave Law his first big break in 1987 at the age of 14.
He performed in a variety of productions before landing his first West End role in Jean Cocteau’s Les Parents Terribles.
The play was later renamed Indiscretions and transferred to Broadway, where Law earned his first Tony Award nomination.
Now Law has rejoined as a patron to help new actors take the stage.
“The National Youth Music Theatre has a very special place in my affections. I’ve many fond memories of my time spent with the company and I’m thrilled to be supporting them and the next generation of theatremakers, particularly with NYMT’s exciting plans for the future,” The Daily Star quoted the actor as saying. Jude Law and Forest Whitaker in “Repo Men”
When two fine actors come together in the same film, it’s often wonderful for moviegoers. That’s why the pairing of Forest Whitaker and Jude Law in the unforgettable “Repo Men” is such a treat.
Jude Law stars as Remy, a man living in the year 2025. He and his partner, Jake (Whitaker), are organ repo men – employees who have been hired to collect money from those who have received a transplant.
One day Remy’s own heart fails, and he receives a new ticker. It isn’t long before he finds he can’t make payments on the procedure, and has evolved into the same kind of person he was harassing earlier in his life.
Jude Law has had an incredibly successful career so far, and it looks like it’s still going strong. Aside from recently appearing in “Sherlock Holmes” alongside Robert Downey, Jr., he also received much praise for his performance in “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.”
